AoN:Studio messiah:studio has a very powerful node based material editor, but the available procedurals didn't use that potential fully back in version 2. I have loved noises and fractals since my very early days of working with 2D and 3D on computers, so I finally decided to do my own shader collection, called "The Art of Noise for messiah:studio" ("AoN:studio" for short). Some Highlights of the Built especially for the messiah:studio shaderflow, these procedurals make the most of what is available The Shaders are available in 32 and 64 Bit now for messiah:studio 4. Every node has multiple variable outputs so one procedural can be used for different channels with different strengths at the same time. Almost every value is animateable with the same convenient timeline tools within messiah that you already know. Every shader has a built-in two color gradient, separately controllable alpha and other convenience functions. Each shader has Bias and Gain controls for easy variation of overall brightness and contrast and a lot of other "special effects". Be sure to check those out! All procedurals are calculated internally with 32bit double precision floating point values for smoothest possible output without banding. The help buttons in the interface open the helpfile on exactly the page where the current shader is explained. The shaders are cool :-) All shaders support UVmapping and all other mapping types that messiah offers like tool and spline mapping! All procedurals have the ability to be mirrored around the X, Y and Z axis, giving you interesting patterns that can be used for insects or other objects which are textured symmetrically. Hundreds of material- and node-presets show what's possible with AoN:studio and messiah. A massive helpfile (almost 50mb!) explains each and every option with images, videos and tutorials. The shaders are now FREE to members of the Setup Tab community!
What next? Visit the AoN:Gallery to see more images from me as well as from other users. Download the AoN:Studio Documentation for free - it contains a wealth of information, images and videos and helps to understand messiahs renderer even if you don't own AoN:Studio. Become a member of Setup Tab and get the Shaders for FREE BTW. Some of these shaders are also available for Autodesk Softimage/Softimage XSI |
